As well as trying to make the Village Hall a pleasant place to be, we also want it to be as technically advanced as possible so that digital devices will work well here. We have installed the latest BT Halo 3 Hub so that WiFi connections are as fast as the supporting infrastructure can make them. We have augmented this with devices on the outside so that the Hall serves as a Digital Hub: you should be able to be online whenever your device is in range
If you have booked the Hall for a party or other event, you can now connect to the speakers directly, either by direct connection at the front of the stage, or by blue-tooth technology if you prefer.
Should you wish to make a presentation from your laptop, this can be set up using the digital projection facilities in the Hall. We also have a laptop which you could use for this purpose if you wish. Using this, you can also make Zoom connections so that those who cannot come to your event can be included: a camera can also be supplied for this purpose. None of these devices is stored at the Hall, so they must be requested when booking.
Similarly, should you wish to have your presentation or other staged event broadcast using Zoom, this is now possible using the technology that we have acquired. If you are not confident about doing this yourself, it may be possible for one of our volunteers to be present to operate the camera.
All of this has been made possible by the National Lottery Community Fund.
